Sometimes called a “celtic brooch” or “cloak brooch,” these penannular-style brooches are a great way to add a bit of decoration to a cloak, kilt, or shawl. We make them out of solid cast bronze, so while they might be a little heavier than you expect, they will last a lifetime.
This brooch has a design of two fierce-looking boars on each end. Gary was inspired by Pictish carvings and statuettes from the European Iron Age when he sculpted these little stylized boars. We mounted a gorgeous grey labradorite stone on the pin of this one, which glows with rainbows when it hits the light. The brooch is about three inches in diameter with a four inch long pin.
