Did you know that dragonflies are one of the world’s most deadly hunters? The hilt, pommel, and handle of this knife come together to form the body and tail of a dragonfly on the prowl. It’s one of our favorite designs we’ve ever created, and we keep coming back to it with new ideas.
We gave this one a handle made from ash, covered in red dyed leather. It is carved and molded into decreasing rings, inspired by the tails of red darter dragonflies. Two large black onyx gemstones are set into the eyes, which we think makes this version of our dragonfly knife look especially bug-like. All fittings are made from cast bronze. The blade is 7 inches long and made from carbon steel. The total length of the knife is 13 1/2 inches.
