This cane is based of the design of a 18th century gentleman’s cane. It is longer than canes today, with a shaft made from springy black rattan. Gary was inspired by botanical designs from the 1700s, and sculpted a matching bronze cane head and tip featuring swirling patterns of flowers and grasses. The cane has a braided wrist lanyard securely attached through a brass fitting. The cane is 48 inches long and weighs 1 pound 8 ounces. We can shorten our canes on request, though this particular design is intended to be quite long.
Our canes are works of art. They are strong and entirely functional, but we don’t recommend them as a replacement for a mobility device. If you need a gorgeous fashion statement or an occasional fancy alternative to your regular cane, then this cane might be for you. But if you need a cane to get around on a daily basis, we recommend you get a medical grade cane that has been properly fitted to you.
