A face formed from oak leaves forms the hilt of this knife, with a crowning spread of oak leaves forming the pommel. While sculpting this knife, Gary drew inspiration from stone carvings of green men found decorating early churches and public buildings throughout Europe, combing different elements to create this entirely unique bronze sculpture. The handle is dyed oak with an inlaid bronze wire. If you look closely into the green man’s eyes, you’ll notice each one is a tiny peridot gemstone! The blade is high-carbon steel, and all fittings are made from cast bronze. The knife is 16 inches in total length.
