The base of this door knocker is a single oak leaf. The leaf’s edges are curved up away from the door, and a single acorn hangs down from the curled stem of the leaf forming the knocker. It attaches securely to a door with two screws, and has a low melodious sound when struck. We’ve given this one a dark red patina with black spots, like an autumn leaf from a red oak. The patina looks particularly good in bright sunlight, where the spots become more visible.
