This small hand sickle has a very exciting hand-carved handle shaped like a twisting vine. It was carved from a single piece of solid apple wood, but it almost looks as though it was somehow organically grown into shape, with large open sections cut through the handle to the other side. The curved bronze blade has a textured hammered finish.
The apple wood for this piece was harvested sustainably and gratefully from our own little orchard of trees.
The sickle is about 8 inches long, from the base of the handle to the peak of the curve of the blade.
