This is a sword of the autumn. Falling leaves cascade down its worked leather sheath in the gentle brown color of faded oak leaves. We gave the bronze hilt a green verdigris patina to contrast against the brown, like the little pop of color of a patch of lichen on an old tree trunk. This is a time for self-reflection. Can you hear the crunch of the leaves beneath your feet?
Equinox is 40 ” long / blade length 28″ / Weight 3lbs 14oz. Blade is 5160 carbon steel, hand ground and tempered. Bronze is lost wax cast.
All of our swords are one-of-a-kind creations. While we might make another sword with oak leaves in the future, there will never be one like Equinox.
