Gary designed this octopus sword for a client. The octopus was highly detailed, with onyx eyes and suckers sculpted on the reverse side. The octopus tentacles create a beautiful sense of movement and fluidity within the piece, and showcase Gary’s skill at sculpting lifelike animals. The pommel was a smaller octopus holding a moonstone. Both the handle and matching sheath were blue dyed leather.
