A one of a kind sword created for a client. Our client wanted a standard long sword as far as length and design, but with the elements and features that represent the Ponderosa pine tree. We rose to the challenge. The classic hilt style is hand sculpted with branches of the tree, the pommel is a hand sculpted ponderosa pine cone. The pine cone needed to be heavy enough to make a good counterbalance but not add to the weight. The blade is a very long and elegant made of A2 carbon steel. The entire sword has a beautiful balance and feel. Finally we created a custom sheath of leather over wood. The leather is all hand tooled and dyed to look like the bark of the pine tree. The client was extrmely happyy with the final result.
