We created this sword for the CBS All Access show Star Trek: Discovery. We worked from designs supplied by the studio, but we were also able to improve the original design because of our experience in making swords. The sword was featured in Season 1, carried by actress Michelle Yeoh in her role as the Emperor. It’s a striking prop when seen on screen.
The pommel and crosspiece are hollow bronze castings. The handle is carved wood with red lambskin inset with bronze banding. The blade is hand ground aluminum for stunt fighting but with a mirror polish. The sheath is hand carved wood with bronze inlay. This is a copyrighted piece and we will not make any reproductions.
