Description
This knife remains one of our favorite one to make, year after year. It features a hilt with a central acorn on the front and back, with two oak leaves forming a crossguard to either side. The pommel in an acorn that matches the one on the hilt.
We have a lot of fun trying to find the most gorgeous oak wood we can for the handles of our oak knives and sickles. This handle is made from a gnarled piece of white oak which is full of knotholes and swirling colors. We think the “imperfections” give it a lot of character. The hilt and pommel are made from cast bronze and have dark brown patinas, with touches of verdigris green on the leaves. The blade is 8 1/2 long and made from carbon steel. The total length of the knife is 11 1/2 inches.
